My week! :)

Hi Everyone!!

I was just getting some Uni work done and realized that I haven't blogged in 4 whole days! :O
I could've sworn it was less than that.
I've been really busy with Uni and have been a bit irritated by not having a camera to take "real" pictures with. I had some spare time yesterday afternoon and after much research on blogs and photography magazines I purchased the Samsung PL122 14.2MP camera
(It also films in HD which will benefit my new youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/ZooBayDah please check it out and subscribe!!).
I also picked up a few other bits and one of the items from my wishlist, Can you guess which one?

Beauty Tag: Would You Rather....?

1.Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make-up or Nice hair and no make-up?

Messy hair and Nice make up. (I do this all the time)

2.Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?

This is a tricky one. I think I would rather shave my eyebrows because they are more likely to grow back and I don't like wearing false lashes day to day.

3.Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?

We don't have Sephora in the UK so I would have to choose MAC

4.Would you rather wear lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?

lipgloss/lipliner only because I would look worse with a perm

5.Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?

OMG! They are both equally horrific!! Obvious foundation line?! I think?! lol

6.Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or biker shorts in public?

MC hammer pants! No contest!!

7.Would you rather have a bad orange-y spray tan or really weird tan lines that can't be covered?

Weird tan lines!

8.Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair color?

Bad hair color because it can always be reversed

9.Would you rather have YT or Twitter taken away forever?

Twitter. I have both but I love me some YT!!

10. Would you rather give up using makeup brushes or mascara?

I would give up mascara because I don't wear it everyday....but I NEED my brushes.

I TAG ALL OF YOU!!! :)

The Lipstick Tag!!

1. When you were a child, did you use your mother’s lipsticks?

All the time!! And I'd close them without winding them back down! (Sorry Mom!)

2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?

Embarrassingly enough I think I was about 19, I used to be more of a gloss girl but theres no going back now.

3. Pink or red lipstick?

RED!!

4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?

A MAC one. I simply can't justify spending anymore than that on a lippie.

5. And the cheapest?

My Sleek ones are my cheapest.

6. What’s the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?

Used a lipstick as a cream blush once,...that isn't even bizarre but anyway

7. If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?

I would recommend MAC, Sleek, NYX and Milani...those are my faves!

I TAG ALL OF YOU!!!

I am in the process of looking for a new camera and that's the reason why I can't take my own pictures and cringe from the thought of using the camera on my phone for my blog. My Favorite Foundation Brush!

The Sigma F80 Flat top Kabuki Brush is by far the best foundation brush I have ever used. It works for powder, cream and liquid foundation to give a flawless finish. I have used this brush for over a year and swear by it. It has synthetic bristles making it especially suited towards liquids and creams.
I have found that it works best using the "stipple n swirl" technique leaving you with a flawless, air brushed finish. It has densely packed bristles which helps give maximum coverage and a non-streaky application of product.
I have since purchased the round top brush which also works well for foundation and the Precision flat top brush which i like for under eye concealer. I give all 3 brushes 5 stars!!

Glossybox Febuary 2012!!

1)
Organic Lavender Hand Sanitizing Spray
2) BM Beauty Pure Mineral Eyeshadow in Wolf Howl
3) DuWop Venom Gloss in Buttercup
4) Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Relaxing Balm
5) Como Shambhala Invigorate Shower Gel

This is what I got in this month's box, I am pretty with with all the items and the eyeshadow swatches beautifully! I love the idea of the spray hand sanitizer and considering that I usually hate the smell of lavender, that my mind associates with air fresheners and toilet cleaner, I like the smell of it. The hair balm work well to hydrate my brazilian hair extensions and is a good size to carry in my handbag to combat occasional frizz. The shower gel smells divine so I'll be saving it for an upcoming trip as its 50ml. I am least impressed with the lipgloss, not for the formula which is non-sticky and smooth, but for the color. I don't think it would suit my skin tone as an all over skin color but might work to highlight the centre of the lips. Will try it that way.

If any of these products turn out to be exceptional I will let you know :)

Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser and skin oil!!- Initial thoughts :)

I've been lusting after these two products for a while and thought what better way to try them than to use my Superdrug beauty card points and try them for free. I got them both today so this is just my initial review of these products. I have been an avid user of the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for over a year and I LOVE it....BUT.....it's a bit on the pricey side for only 100ml of product and can be hard to get if you don't live near a John Lewis branch and don't like the hassle of online shopping.
The cleanser comes with 200ml of product and a muslin cloth for less that £6!!! It is a very good cleanser and I prefer this for the winter months because it is tailored to Normal/ Dry skin which most of us oily girls tend to transition to in the winter months. It's has a nice coconut scent and comes in a squeeze tube which I don't like in comparison to the Liz Earle pump bottle because the tube makes you waste product. So far this is the only con of the product.
The skin oil is very light and easily absorbed into the skin without leaving behind a greasy film on the skin. It is moisturizing with the same coconut scent as the cleanser. It costs £2.99 for 30ml,....a little goes a LONG way.

As this is only an initial I will do a follow up post on any pros and cons I encounter while using the product. :)

My everyday makeup!

1) I ALWAYS do my brow first using Mac's eyebrow pencil in Stud and highlight my brow with either the loreal true match concealer in coffe or Mac's select cover up concealer in NW40. I use the latter for a brighter highlight.

2) I follow with foundation. For everyday use I use Mac's matchmaster foundation in 7.5 with the sigma flat top kabuki brush, and conceal/highlight under my eyes with either the loreal true match concealer in coffe or Mac's select cover up concealer in NW40. I use the latter for a brighter highlight. I use the precision flat top brush from sigma to conceal.

3) I ALWAYS set my foundation because I prefer a matte finish with Mac's blot powder in Dark with a sigma large powder brush.

4) I ALWAYS contour with the sleek contour kit in dark with the small tapered highlighter brush fro Sigma.

5) For blush I go for something natural like Format or Raizen by Mac and usually use the same brush I use for my contour.

6) The lip color is strictly dependent on my mood, could be anything from nude to red.
